Lewis J Young

Lewis J. Young, 52, of Rockland Township, died suddenly Monday, November 22, 2010, after being stricken while operating a motor vehicle for his employer. He was the fiancé of Lisa M. Smith, Philadelphia.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Shirley A. (LaFaver) Young, Topton and the late Robert J. Young. He was a 1976 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He worked as a truck driver for Ronnie C. Folk Paving, Shoemakersville, for the past two months. Prior to that, he was a sales assistant at National Auto, Kutztown for six months. He first worked as a truck driver for East Penn Manufacturing Company, Lyon Station for 33 years. He was a member of Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion, Topton.

He is survived by Fiancé, Mother, Daughter, Danielle E. (Young) Cameron, Middle River, MD; Sons, Joshua R. L., Kyle J. and Austin T. Young, all of Fleetwood. There are 2 Granddaughters, Kayla B. Cameron and Deja J. Tam. Other survivors include Sisters, Dori A. (Young) wife of William H. Martin, Jr., and Cindy M. (Young) wife of Brian S. Derr, both of Fleetwood; Brothers, Robert D. husband of Cheryl R. (Smith) Young, Fleetwood, Harold A. husband of Starr L. (Landis) Young, Hamburg and Troy K. husband of Patricia A. (Adams) Young, Mertztown.

Funeral Services are Friday, November 26, 2010, 11:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Friends may call Friday, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
