Lester C Hilbert

Lester C. Hilbert, 82, of Topton, died shortly after arrival, Monday, May 31, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Roxie A. (Geisinger) Hilbert. They were married May 12, 1956.

Born in Topton, he was a son of the late Lester G. and Alice M. (Hertzog) Hilbert. Mr. Hilbert was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as an auto mechanic for 42 years, first for the former Hinterleiter's Garage, Topton, Maxatawny Automotive, William Muhlhauser's Garage and completed his career at the former E & C Auto, Topton, retiring in 1998. Lester enjoyed playing pool, completing puzzles and working on cars.

He is survived by Wife of 59 years, Roxie; Son, Keith M. husband of Rosemay D. (Sanders) Hilbert, Kutztown; Daughters, Karen A. (Hilbert) wife of Forrest N. Kistler, Jr., Fleetwood and Kay L. (Hilbert) wife of Merlin I. Snyder, Krumsville; there are 6 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Other survivors include, Sisters, Betty (Hilbert) Matthew, Fleetwood, Patricia (Hilbert) Roth, Fleetwood, Helen (Hilbert) Kunkleman, Kutztown, Fern (Hilbert) Readinger, Oley, Shirley (Hilbert) Ream, Kutztown, Marlene (Hilbert) Diachynski, Barto and Florabelle (Hilbert) Christman, Tuckerton; Brothers, Harold Hilbert, Topton, Melvin Hilbert, Lancaster County and Clarence Hilbert, Hereford.  Lester was predeceased by 2 Sons, Craig S. and Randy S. Hilbert; 4 Sisters, Carrie (Hilbert) Rohrbach, Edna (Hilbert) Rohrbach, Gladys (Hilbert) Grim and Joyce (Hilbert) Eisenhard.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating. Interment with Military Honors in Hope Cemetery, (Dryville) Fleetwood. Friends may call Thursday, 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
