Leroy H Remp

LeRoy H. Remp, 57, of Kutztown, died suddenly Monday, January 14, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Tina L. (Adam) Remp. They were married October 15, 1983.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Leon I., and Mildred M. (Rausch) Remp. Mr. Remp was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Kutztown. He was a 1973 graduate of Hamburg Area High School, Pennsylvania State University, Berks Campus, Reading, and Temple University, Philadelphia. He was employed as a pipeline project manager by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Trexlertown, for 37 years, retiring last June. LeRoy was a member of the Kutztown Optimist Club and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He enjoyed traveling with his family, going to casinos, gardening, and watching sports. LeRoy was a loving husband, father, and friend.

He is survived by Wife; Daughter, Katelyn M. Remp, a student at Moravian College, Bethlehem; Sister, Lois M. (Remp), wife of John H. Lawler, Easton; Brother, Leon C., husband of Donna L. (Althouse) Remp, West Lawn; and his four legged feline companions, Smokey, Lucky, and Carmel.

Funeral Services are Friday, January 18, 2013, at 10:30 AM in St. Johns Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
