Leroy C. Reitenauer

August 3, 1937 — May 3, 2018

Leroy C. Reitenauer, 80, of Maxatawny Township, died Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.  He was the husband of Debra A. (Bleiler) Reitenauer.  They were married July 28, 1995.  Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Raymond C. and Edna E. (Bachman) Reitenauer.  He honorably and faithfully served his country United States Army. Leroy was first employed by the former Riggs Mobile Homes, delivering and setting up new homes.  He then worked for over twenty years as an auto reconditioner for Outten Chevrolet, Allentown. Lastly, he worked as a shuttle driver and custodian for the former A. W. Golden Cadillac, Reading, until his retirement in 2008.  Leroy was a member of Kutztown, Topton and Lyons Fire Companies, and served over twenty years as a member of their Fire Police.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, Debra, Leroy is survived by two sons, Jason L., husband of Tiffany K. (Odell) Reitenauer, Kutztown; and Shaun M. Reitenauer, fiancé of Cindy A. Ruppert, Kutztown.  Other survivors include sisters, Jeanette F. (Reitenauer) wife of Russell Miller, Lebanon; Florence I. (Reitenauer) widow of Russell Grow, Harrisburg; Catherine M. (Reitenauer) Eyrich and Nellie P. (Reitenauer)  Hoffer, both of Reading.  There are also three grandchildren, Tyler G. Reitenauer, Colby M. Reitenauer, and Elizabeth K. Reitenauer.  In addition to his parents, Leroy was predeceased by a sister, Shirley M. (Reitenauer) Fegely; and brothers, Walter R., Ralph C. and Ruel C. Reitenauer.

A memorial service to celebrate Leroy's life will be hosted by the family on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., in the Brick Pavilion at the Kutztown Park, Kutztown.
