Mrs. Leona Mae Keim

Leona Mae "Nana" (Reppert) Keim, 91, of Kutztown, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022 in Willowbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kutztown. She was the widow of Robert S. "Pop-pop" Keim, who died September 30, 2009.

Born in Greenwich Township, Leona was a daughter of the late Clarence J. and Gertie A. (Kutz) Reppert. She was a 1949 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, and later married her high school sweetheart, Bobby on May 20, 1950. Leona was a long-time member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, where she served as a Deacon and Elder of the church consistory.

She was employed as a wrapper at the former Rentschler's Bakery in Kutztown for many years, but was mostly known as "Nana", having been a local babysitter for children in the Kutztown area for 58 years. She also helped part-time at Shaynah Kinner Day Care Center, Kutztown, and enjoyed word-search puzzles.

Leona is survived by children, who were also her dedicated caregivers, Rosaria L. (Reppert), wife of Ronald K. Angstadt, Denise L. Keim, David L., husband of Geraldine M. (Wehr) Keim, Daryl, husband of Gail I. (Romig) Keim, and Todd A., husband of Julie A. (Herman) O'Neil, all of Kutztown; six grandchildren, Derek L. Keim, Daryn L. Keim, Dustin L. Keim, Kirk M. Neiman, Michele R. Neiman and Carly M. O'Neil; and four great-grandchildren, Elle C. (Neiman) Fronheiser, Lennon C. Neiman, Kian A. D'Agusto and Layton T. D'Agusto.

In addition to her husband Bobby and parents, Leona was predeceased by her two sisters, Miriam Bachman and Lillian Dietrich.

A funeral service to celebrate Leona's life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Kim L. Adamson officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Leona's memory to St. Paul's UCC, 47 S. Whiteoak St., Kutztown, PA 19530.
