Leona C Leiby

Leona C. Leiby, 89, of Maxatawny Township, a loving mother and grandmother entered eternal life Thursday, November 13, 2008. She was the widow of Oscar W. Leiby.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Sallie (Moyer) Moyer. She was a cafeteria worker for the Kutztown Area School District for many years, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Lyons Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a lifetime member of Zions’s Union Church, Maxatawny, PA.

She is survived by Daughters, Irene M. (Leiby) Boyer, Kutztown, Jane A. (Leiby) Stinsmen, Allentown, Grace C. (Leiby) Haas, Mary L. (Leiby) Laub, and Karen R (Leiby) Reiss, all of Kutztown; Sons, Edward J. Leiby, Willow Street, Lancaster County, Earl W. Leiby, George I. Leiby, Allen L. Leiby, all of Kutztown, and Harold D. Leiby, Reading. In addition, there are 19 Grandchildren; 4 Step Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; 2 Step Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandson.

Funeral Services are Monday, November 17, 2008, at 10:30 AM in Zion’s Union Church, Route 222, Kutztown, PA. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Monday, 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church.
