Leona A Rothermel

Leona A. Rothermel, 83, of Park Road, Richmond Twp., died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in Kutztown Manor, Inc., Kutztown, where she resided since March 12. She was the widow of the late Paul W. Rothermel who died December 25, 1997.

Born in Rockland Twp., Berks County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Astor Z. and the late Minnie V. (Hess) Welder. She was a presser at the former J L Manufacturing, Fleetwood for over 20 years retiring in the early 1980’s. She was a member and past secretary of the Ladies Bible Study Group of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers. (Maxatawny Twp.). She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Fleetwood, PA. She was a member of Christ (DeLong) UCC Church, Bowers (Maxatawny Twp.).

She is survived by Daughter, Denise M. (Rothermel) George, Ruscombmanor Twp.; Sister, Romane O. (Welder) Richard; 1 Grandson.

Funeral services are Thursday, 10:30 AM from Christ (DeLong) UCC Church, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers (Maxatawny Twp.). Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Maxatawny Twp. Kutztown. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
