Lee D Solt Sr

Lee D. Solt, Sr., 74, of Richmond Township, died unexpectedly Friday, June 8, 2012 in Lehigh Valley Hospital where he was a patient since June 6, 2012. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Miller) Solt, they were married February 8, 1969.

Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Manassas W. and Annie V. (Hess) Solt. Lee was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton. Mr. Solt worked over 50 years as the foreman of the pallet shop at Solts Saw Mill, Mertztown, last working June 5, 2012. He was a member of Topton Union Cemetery Board of Directors, Topton for many years and a member of Pike Township Sportsmens Association. Lee had a love of trains, everything John Deere and enjoyed gardening and yard work, priding himself on his flower gardens and manicured lawn.

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Scott L. husband of Jacqueline S. (Oswald) Solt, and Lee D., Jr., husband of Linda J. (Moser) Solt; and a Daughter, Tammy L. (Solt) wife of Timothy P. Fritch, all of Topton. Other survivors include Sisters, Betty G. (Solt) widow of Paul Geist, Topton and Bonnie L. Solt, Mertztown; Brothers, Edwin U. husband of Annabelle M. (Kratzer) Solt and Paul L. widower of Voilet E. (Kunkle) Solt, both of Mertztown; Sisters-in-law, Corinne (Fegley) widow of predeceased Brother, Floyd Solt and Shirley H. (Rohrbach) widow of predeceased Brother, Russel, both of Mertztown. There are 7 Grandchildren, Michele L. Solt, Jamie L. (Solt) wife of Jeremy Marko, Alan T. Fritch, Adam T. Fritch, Kayla L. Johnson, Kyra T. Solt and Andrew W. L. Solt and a Granddaughter-in-law, Amanda R. (Tobias) widow of predeceased Grandson, Jason M. Solt who died May 25, 2011. He will be deeply missed by his cat, Lokie Diesel Solt.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, June 13, 2012, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Wednesday, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
