LaRue R. Hoch - Pyatt, 80, of West Franklin Street, Topton, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in Saint Lukes Hospital, Allentown Campus, Allentown, where she was a patient since June 14. She was married to the late Preston J. Hoch who died September 17, 1960 and the late Harold G. Pyatt who died July 15, 1965.
Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and the late Mabel (Sittler) Schwindenhammer. She was the owner and operator of Wert’s Beverages, Topton from 1959 until her retirement in 1989. Prior to that she owned and operated the former 12 th & Allen Hotel, Allentown. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ray A. Master, Post #217, American Legion, Topton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.
She is survived by Daughter, Judith G. (Hoch) Romig, Topton; Sister, Betty (Schwindenhammer) O’Donnell, Emmaus, Lehigh County, PA; 2 Grandsons, 2 Great Grandsons. She was predeceased by sons Larry D. Hoch in 1969 and Preston J. Hoch in 2000.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, June 29, 2004, 10:30 AM from Trinity Lutheran Church, Home Avenue & East Smith Street, Topton. Interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Bethlehem. Friends may call Tuesday, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM in the church.
Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Church, 19562. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
