Larue Jeanette Knauss

LaRue Jeanette Knauss, 93, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Topton and Bally, PA and Arlington, VA, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Saint Rose Dominican Hospital, Las Vegas.

Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Lovine Knauss and Dorothy (Harpel) Knauss - Schell. Ms. Knauss attended grade school in Topton, and graduated from Boyertown High School in 1939. She was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Las Vegas. Ms. Knauss was employed in the airline industry since 1946, first working with TWA in Reading, PA. Upon retirement on January 1, 1984, she was employed by U.S. Airways for 18 years, and held the position of Director of Corporate Insurance, based out of Arlington, VA. She was a charter member of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Topton.

Ms. Knauss is survived by numerous cousins, friends, and dedicated caregivers, Marissa, Hilda and Jean.

Graveside Services and interment will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Longswamp Union Cemetery, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown. Relatives and friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton.
