Larry F Wartzenluft

Larry F. Wartzenluft, 65, of Maxtawny Township, died August 25, 2013, in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he was admitted August 19th. He was the husband of Diana L. (Oswald) Wartzenluft, whom he married September 23, 1967.

Born in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Helen A. (Emore) Wartzenluft. Mr. Wartzenluft was a 1965 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Kutztown, and also the Topton American Legion, Kutztown Fire Company, Alburtis, Kutztown, Mertztown, and Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Clubs, and also the Topton Fish and Game. He was employed as a loader operator for 38 years at Eastern Industries, Kutztown Quarry Division, retiring in 2010.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Jennifer L. (Wartzenluft) Levan, Lewes, DE; Sisters, Gloria M. (Wartzenluft) Oswald and Susan J. (Wartzenluft) Luckenbill, both of Topton, Bettie A. (Wartzenluft) wife of James C. Hirko, Jr., Mohrsville; Brother, Willard L., husband of Rayann R. (Frantz) Wartzenluft, Fogelsville. He was pre-deceased by Sisters Tina L. Wartzenluft in 1959 and Linda M. Wartzenluft in 1989.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 7:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, 19530. Inurnment will be private in New Bethel Zion Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Wednesday, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3300 East Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
