Mr. Larry C. Mattox

Larry C. Mattox, 88, of Richmond Township, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 in Tower Health - Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. He was the widower of Doris A. (Lightcap) Mattox who died November 8, 2020. They were married March 2, 1957.

Larry was the son of the late Henry W. and Lorena C. (Branthoover) Mattox. He was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School and attended Penn State University. He also served in The United States Air Force. Larry worked as a Salesman for the former Nothstein Ford in Kutztown for three years and later for Heffner Ford in Temple for many years until his retirement. Larry enjoyed reading.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey D. Mattox, Kutztown and Gary C. Mattox, Boulder, CO; and brother-in-law, David W., husband of Sabilla A. (Young) Lightcap, Kutztown.

In addition to his wife and parents, Larry was predeceased by a brother, Henry Mattox, Jr., and a sister, Nolene (Mattox) Burtner.

A funeral service to celebrate Larry's life will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in Frieden's Church, 1512 Old Route 22, Lenhartsville, with Pastor Dennis L. Cooper, officiating. Interment will follow in Becker's Saint Peter's Cemetery, Richmond Township. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
