Laila R Fegely

Laila R. Fegely, 80, of Mertztown, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit, Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of William H. Fegely. They were married on April 2, 1955.

Born in Richmond Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Verna (Readinger) Heffner. She was a member of Christ (Mertz) Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. She graduated from Kutztown Area High School, Kutztown, in 1953. Mrs. Fegely was a homemaker and a gardener; prior to that she was a sewing machine operator at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis.

She is survived by Husband, Sisters, Gladys (Heffner) widow of John Reinert, Alburtis, Madeline (Heffner) widow of Donald Spohn, Lyon Station, Marie (Heffner) wife of Ray Wessner, Topton, Jeannette (Heffner) wife of Josef Winkler, Fleetwood, Anna (Heffner) Henry, Cottage Grove, OR; Brothers, Wilson husband of Mary Heffner, Fleetwood and Paul Heffner, Portland, TN. She was predeceased by Brothers, Fred Heffner, Monroe Heffner and David Heffner, all in 2003.

Funeral Services are Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
