Laila A. Loch

Laila A. (Angstadt) Loch, 96, of Weisenberg Township, died peacefully Sunday, October 6, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.  She was the widow of Charles J. Loch, who died July 1, 2012.  Born in Maxatawny Township, Laila was a daughter of the late Kuney and Arline (Trexler) Angstadt.  Laila was a member of the U.C.C. congregation of Ziegel's Union Church, Breinigsville.

Laila and her late husband owned and operated a dairy and crop farm for over 62 years, now continued by her son, Joel and his wife Brenda.  Laila and Charles also operated huckster routes in Reading and Topton.

Laila enjoyed crafting, crocheting, working in her flower beds, keeping a garden, spending time with family and sitting on her front porch.

Laila is survived by four children:  Martin C., husband of Laura C. (Stauffer) Loch, Kutztown; Dennis C. Loch, Kutztown; Karen A. (Loch), wife of William T. Boyd, Mertztown; and Joel K., husband of Brenda A. (Rabert) Loch, Kutztown.  Other survivors include six grandchildren: Loretta (Loch) Sterner; Edward Loch; Rebecca (Boyd) Nissley; Melanie (Boyd) Fink; Dora (Boyd) Simons; and Shana (Boyd) Hanna; there are also 14 great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.  In addition to her husband Charles, Laila was predeceased by a sister Lennia A. (Angstadt) Mertz; and a brother Ernest L. Angstadt.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Laila's life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. from Ziegel's Union Church, 9990 Ziegel's Church Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031, with The Reverend Andrew Mecksroth, officiating.  Interment in Ziegel's Church Union Cemetery.  Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
