La Rue M. Frederick

La Rue M. (Heffner) Frederick, 91, of Wescosville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lowell G. Frederick, whom she married on May 24, 1952. Born in Longswamp Township, La Rue was a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Jennie M. (Meck) Heffner and was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School.

La Rue was employed as a Secretary by the former Caloric Corporation, Topton, until her retirement in 1973. She also worked as a Secretary in the Brandywine Heights School District for several years. Most recently, La Rue was a homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her home and family. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Breinigsville. La Rue loved going on day trips to Lancaster County. She was a great cook, amazing wife and mother, and cherished friend. LaRue's warmth and kindness were the hallmarks of her spirit.

Along with her husband of 72 years, Lowell, La Rue is survived by her two children, Susan M. Frederick, Wescosville, and Steven R., husband of Stephanie L. (Stearns) Frederick, Riegelsville, Bucks Co.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor La Rue's life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Pastor Rod Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Dryville (Fleetwood). Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
