L. David Garman, 74, of Greenwich Township, died Monday, March 9, 2009 in his residence. He was the husband of Janice A. (Welker) Garman who he married July 26, 1958.
Born in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Luther F. and Carmen M. (Schmidt) Garman. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1961 and from Bucknell University with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1969. He was a chemical engineer at the former Gilbert Associates, Green Hill, PA from 1969 to 1983. He then was a teacher in the Hamburg School District from 1985 until his retirement in 1999.
He is survived by Wife, Daughters, Lois A. (Garman) wife of Larry Heydt, Virginville, PA and Laurie L. Garman, Hamburg, PA; Son, Eric D. Garman, husband of Lori A. (Kull) Garman, Fleetwood, PA; Sister, Joyce M. (Garman) widow of Kurt Zippe, Southwick, MA; Grandchildren, Hans D., Sarel E., Hadley E. and Samuel A. Garman. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beth A. Garman in 1988.
Funeral Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
