Kermit J Schwoyer

Kermit J. Schwoyer, 87, of Kutztown, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Marian G. (George) Schwoyer. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Eva C. (Bieber) Schwoyer. Mr. Schwoyer attended Kutztown Area High School and was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Krumsville. He was employed as a mechanic by the Borough of Kutztown, working for many years until his retirement. Kermit was a member of the Kutztown Fire Company and enjoyed woodworking and traveling.

He is survived by Wife of 67 years, Marian; Daughter, Brenda L. (Schwoyer), wife of David K. Shade, Blandon; Granddaughter, Megan A. (Shade), wife of Thomas Berger, Jr., Palmerton. He was predeceased by his Parents; and Brother, Robert Schwoyer.

Graveside services will be private in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Richmond Township.
