Kermit C. Schoch, age 72, of 572 State Street, Topton PA, died Saturday, March 17, 2001 in his home. He was the Husband of Marguerite M. "Peggy" (Hilt) Schoch. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past June.
Born in Alburtis, Lehigh County PA, he was the Son of the late Calvin K. and Mary H. (Hilbert) Schoch. He was a Tool and Die Maker at the Caloric Corporation at its former Topton Plant for 42 years retiring in 1991. He was a Member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown, where he also served on the Church Council for 12 years during the 1950's and 60's. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was an Institutional Representative of the Longswamp Boy Scout Troop 575 and a Member of the Advancement Committee of Daniel Boone Boyscout Council.
He is survived by his Wife; Son, Keith A. Schoch of Annandale NJ; Daughters, Jennifer A. Schoch of Mertztown PA and Deborah L. Schoch of Mertztown PA; Brother, Ernest Schoch of Macungie PA; Sisters, Mary M. (Schoch) Keiser of Mertztown PA and Leona K. (Schoch) Knerr of Alburtis PA; and 2 Grandsons.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at 2:00 PM from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 500 Luther Drive, Mertztown. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery, Topton. Friends may call Wednesday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church.
