Kenneth G Reitz

Kenneth G. Reitz, age 59, of 510 Hinterleiter Road, Kutztown PA, died Saturday, February 9, 2002 in the Hahneman Hospital, Philadelphia PA. He was the Husband of Pamela J. (Haas) Reitz. The couple celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary last March.

Born in Linden NJ, he was the Son of the late George E. and the late Dorothy E. (Helms) Reitz. He was a Metal Sales Manager for NGK Metals, Temple for 23 years. He later worked in the same capacity for Timet Inc., Morgantown from 1997 to September 13, 2001. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rider University, where he was a Member of Delta Sigma Pi, Lawrenceville NJ, graduating in 1964.

He was a member of Christ (DeLong's) UCC Church, Bowers PA. He was currently serving on the Consistory and sang in the Choir. He was a Teacher for the Adult and Young Adult Sunday School Class. He was a past President of the Church Consistory. He was a Charter Member and past President of the Bowers Lions Club. He was a past Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop #132, Bowers and Cub Pack Leader of Pack #153, Bowers. He sang with the Brandywine Minstrels. He was a baseball Coach for 7 years for the Kutztown Youth Athletic Association (KYAA). He was a former Tax Collector for Maxatawny Township from 1980 to 1983. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Mathew K. Reitz of Pottstown PA and Andrew J. Reitz of East Greenville PA; Sisters, Patricia A. (Reitz) Gaul of West Chester PA and Christine E. Reitz of Portland ME; and 2 Granddaughters.

Memorial Services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2002 in Christ (Delong's) United Church of Christ, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers PA. There are no calling hours. Interment in Union Cemetery of Bowers, with Military Honors. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton PA.
