Kenneth D Moyer

Kenneth D. Moyer, Sr., 68, of Kutztown, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was the husband of Sharon L. (Overly) Moyer, whom he married October 6, 1970 .

Born in Rockland Township , he was a son of the late Steward E. and Marie M. (Bauer) Moyer. Mr. Moyer was employed as a machine operator at a local machine shop, last working this past September. Kenneth was a lead guitar player in several local bands for many years. He enjoyed gardening, racing, and tinkering in his shed .

He is survived by Wife; Sons, Kenneth D., Jr., husband of Kelly L. (Manning) Moyer, Kevin S. Moyer, companion of Kristin L. (Jones) Guarino; Daughter, Melanie A. Moyer, all of Kutztown; Sisters, Barbara A. (Moyer), widow of Edwin Schmoyer, Bechtelsville, Patricia C. (Moyer), wife of Dean Stump, Sharon M. (Moyer), wife of Marvin Danenhower, both of Kutztown, Cynthia F. (Moyer), wife of James Romig, Alburtis; Brothers, Steward E., II, husband of Darlene (Lill) Moyer, Mertztown and David W. husband of Diana (Kolbicka) Moyer, Fleetwood. There are also 5 Grandchildren, Christopher M. Moyer, Taylor K. Moyer, Mitchell C. Moyer, Zackery T. DeLong and Gabriel C. Beltran. He was predeceased by 2 Sisters, Ruth M. (Moyer) Radcliffe and Joan A. (Moyer) Esterly; and one Brother, Barry L. Moyer .

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 8:00 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend James W. Schlegel officiating. Relatives and friends may call Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family .
