Kennard C Fischer

Kennard C. 'Ken' Fischer, age 69, of 15 South Callowhill Street, Topton PA, died Saturday, November 17, 2001 in his home.

Born in Reading PA, he was the Son of the late Christian L. and Mary (Buckowski) Fischer. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kutztown University in the mid 1960's, he then received a Master's Degree in Art Therapy from Hahnaman University, Philadelphia in the mid 1970's. He was a cartoonist for the Reading Eagle / Reading Times, Reading PA for approximately 20 years. He then worked for Concern, Fleetwood PA as an Art Therapist. He was still working part - time for Concern. He had retired about 5 years ago from full time employment with Concern. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his Brother, Eddy P. Kreider of New Holland PA; Sister, Audrey J. (Fischer) Warren of Forked River NJ; and 2 Granddaughters. He is predeceased in death by his Daughter, Jessica L. Fischer who died in 1995.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 20, 2001 from the Ludwick Funeral Homes, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown PA. Family and Friends may call 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment is Private and at the convenience of the Family.
