Keith J. Leinbach

Keith J. Leinbach, 62, of Kutztown, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the residence of his mother, Shirley M. Leinbach, Kutztown.  Born in Pensacola, FL, Keith was a son of Shirley M. (Arndt) Leinbach, Kutztown, and the late Jay S. Leinbach.  He was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ Church, Kutztown, where he currently was serving as an Elder.  He previously served as a Deacon.  Keith was very active with his church, have previously served on the choir and many committees. Keith was active on the Saint Paul's Relay for Life Team since its inception.

Keith was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Class of 1979, where he graduated as class valedictorian. He was active in the high school pop group "28-Large."  Keith served on the board of directors for the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Vocal Scholarship Fund.  Keith continued his education at Penn State, earning his Bachelor's; then went onto Drexel University and earned his Masters in Chemical Engineering.

Keith was employed for over 37 years by Air Products, Trexlertown, first beginning in the laboratory and then transitioning to environmental permitting for new start-up locations of Air Products plants.  Keith retired earlier this year.

In addition to his mother, Shirley, Keith is survived by a brother, Steven J., husband of Sherry B. (Jenne) Leinbach, Mertztown.  There are also two nephews: David J., husband of Samantha P. (Rosado) Leinbach, Fort Collins, CO; and Brandon L. Leinbach, Mountville, Lancaster County.  Keith was predeceased by his father, Jay S. Leinbach.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Keith's life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 S. Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, with The Rev. Kim L. Adamson, officiating.  Inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the church.
