Katie S Danner

Katie S. (Spangler) Danner, 95, formerly of Kutztown, died Thursday, November 7, 2013, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where she was a resident since 2008. She was the widow of Wayne F. Danner, who died August 13, 2003.

Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Alvin S. and Sallie D. (Wagner) Spangler. Mrs. Danner was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Wenton Shoe Factory, Kutztown, from 1954 until her retirement in 1973. She previously worked at the former Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis and the former Topton Rug Mill, during the 1930's and 1940's.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Sisters, Annie (Spangler) Gracely, Verna (Spangler) Conrad, Eva (Spangler) Schick; and Brothers, George Spangler and James Spangler.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to Saint John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
