Ms. Kathryn M. Youse

Kathryn M. "Kathy" Youse, 69, of Kutztown, died peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, March 20, 2021, in Reading Hospital - Tower Health, West Reading, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.  Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Grace M. (Stufflet) Youse. Kathryn was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Class of 1969.

Kathy was employed as a sewing machine operator by Kutztown Sportswear, Kutztown, and Cinderella Knitting Mills, Leesport, for nearly 25 years.  She also worked in Dining Services at Kutztown University, for M.W. Wood, Sodexo, and Aramark for 30 years until her retirement.  Kathy enjoyed reading and watching old-time television shows.

Kathryn is survived by three sisters: Loretta L. (Youse), wife of Paul H. Moser, Breinigsville; Diane M. Youse, Reading; and Sharon K. Youse, Kutztown; two brothers: Larry C., husband of Shirley M. (Manmiller) Youse, Kutztown; and Alan J., husband of Julie (Smith) Youse, Salem, Oregon.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Vicar Jeremiah T. Heydt, officiating.  Inurnment in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.  Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
