Mrs. Kathryn M. Jackson

Kathryn M. "Kate" (Hoener) Jackson, 68, of Kutztown passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. She was the widow of James M. Jackson, Jr., who died on November 14, 2006 and whom she married on May 12, 1979.

Born on Long Island, NY, Kathryn was a daughter of the late Clarence M. Hoener and Shirley A. (Travis) McCollum. Kathryn was a graduate of Delaware Valley High School, Milford, PA and Kutztown University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She was an accomplished artist and painter and also enjoyed crafting.

Kathryn was employed as a Bartender at Goodnights Lounge at Sheraton / Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading for many years. Prior to that, Kathryn worked in the same capacity at Shorty's Bar in Kutztown. She was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan!

Kathryn is survived by her daughter Jamie A. Jackson, companion of Matthew R. Whipple, Kutztown; and a sister, Sharlene Flansburg, Milford, PA.

Services for Kathryn will be held privately by her family.
