On the warm Sunday afternoon of July 17, 2016, our Lord peacefully took June P. (Follweiler) Morrow home to be with her beloved husband of 70 years, George. June, the oldest of three children to the late Leland J. and Blanche E. (Green) Follweiler, was born into a farm-life family in PA. After graduating from Slatington High School in 1942, June married the love of her life, George L. Morrow, who passed away on December 22, 2014. After living in Florida, New York City and New Jersey, June and George returned to Pennsylvania, which was their true home. Mrs. Morrow was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown, and was steadfast in her faith, having read the Bible multiple times. She also enjoyed singing in the church choir. June worked as a Secretary at Reuten Windows in Closter, NJ, for several years, retiring in 1983. She also was a proud volunteer for many years at Pascack Valley Hospital, Westwood, NJ, and Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Allentown, in their gift shops. June was very patriotic, devoted to her country and was an excellent seamstress and knitter. She even hand-made many of her daughter’s dresses when she was younger and often made sweaters and gifted them to her family on Christmas. June was also a dedicated sports fan who enjoyed baseball and football, never missed an Eagles game, and was fond of the New England Patriots. June never liked saying goodbye, for her it was “May God bless you” and “So long for now.”
June was the devoted mother of Jan (Morrow), wife of Edward Jackson, Salisbury, Mass; loving grandmother of Jennifer (Lee), wife of David DeSisto, Barrington, RI; and caring great-grandmother of Christopher and Ariana DeSisto. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jeanette Follweiler; sister-in-law, Nancy, widow of Bruce Follweiler, both of Bethlehem; 2 nieces and 2 nephews, and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 1:30 PM in Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 47 South Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, with Reverend John W. Davies officiating. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:30 PM in the church. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in June’s memory to The American Heart Association, 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109 or online at www.heart.org , or The American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, P.O.
