Joyce E Schaeffer

Joyce E. Schaeffer, 78, formerly of Lyons Station, died Friday, March 18, 2005, in Henry Health Care Center of The Lutheran Home at Topton where she resided since April 26, 1992. She was married to the late George W. Schaeffer who died March 25, 1993.

Born in Topton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wallace C. and the late Ella C. (Spotts) Barto. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lyons Fire Company, Lyons and Pike Township Sportsman Club, Pike Twp. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers (Maxatawny Twp.).

She is survived by Sons, Wallace G. Schaeffer, Reading, Ricky L. Schaeffer, Lenhartsville, Charles M. Schaeffer, Reading, Scott A. Schaeffer, Mertztown; Daughter, Karen E. (Schaeffer) Weidenhammer, Blandon (Maidencreek Twp.); Sisters, Shirley (Barto) Landis, Topton, Mary Ellen (Barto) Labanz, Emmaus, Lehigh County; 12 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM from Hope Lutheran Church, 550 Fleetwood Road, Bowers (Maxatawny Twp.). Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood (Rockland Twp.). Friends may call Monday 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown.
