Joyce D Measler

Joyce D. Measler, 79, of Carlisle, PA died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Charles C. Measler who died on March 19, 1999.

Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Morgan N. and Erma S. (Benfield) Rohrbach. She was a member of the Doubling Gap Church of God, Newville. Mrs. Measler was a hostess/manager at the Howard Johnson Restaurant, Camp Hill, for 10 years retiring in 1991. She was a member and past president of the VFW, Post #1718, Harrisburg.

She is survived by Daughters, Diane R. (Measler) Kreiner, Carlisle, Debra L. (Measler) Hirner, Cochran, GA, Cynthia L. (Measler) Way , Warner Robbins, GA, Jocelyn M. Measler, Cochran, GA, Rae H. (Measler) wife of Ronald Mathna, Newville, Teresa A. (Measler) Noll, Carlisle; Brothers, Linwood A. Rohrbach, Bethlehem, Forrest A. Rohrbach, Emmaus, Elwood R. Rohrbach, Macungie; Sisters, Gloria M. (Rohrbach) wife of Warren Knerr, Breinigsville, Fern E. (Rohrbach) wife of Kenneth Rupert, Nazareth, Joanne E. (Rohrbach) Stine, Mesa, AZ; 17 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by Brother, Gerald M. Rohrbach.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Salem Cemetery, Macungie. Friends may call Wednesday, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial Services are Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:30 AM in Doubling Gap Church of God, 50 McCrea Road, Newville, PA 17241. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 to 11:30 AM in the church.

The family requests contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
