Joseph Sward

Joseph Sward, 43, of Longswamp Township, formerly of Fleetwood, died Friday, December 5, 2008 in the residence of his brother Steven Sward, Mertztown. He was the husband of Donna M. (Bagenstose) Sward. They were married May 21, 1993.

Born in Allegheny County, PA, he was a son of Gerald S. Sward, Topton, and the late Lynda R. (DeLancy) Sward. He was a laborer for East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyon Station, for 20 years, last working in August 2004.

He is survived by Wife, Children, Sarah M., Lancaster, Stacy A., Blandon and D.J., Wyomissing; Brothers, Steven, husband of Kaye E. (Rhoads) Sward, Mertztown, twin Brother Gerald P., husband of Melain (Folk) Sward, Daniel J., husband of Marty (Walbert) Sward, both of Topton, and John W., husband of Kim (Cronrath) Sward, Kutztown. There are also 3 Grandchildren, Brent, Aries, and Tiffa.

Funeral Services are Monday, December 8, 2008, at 10:30 AM in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 225 East Weis Street, Topton, PA. Interment will be in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

The family requests contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
