Joseph P Vangeri

Joseph P. Vangeri, 70, of Mertztown, died Monday, July 22, 2013 in Conestoga View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, where he was a resident for one month. He was the husband of Florence D. (Hunsicker) Vangeri, whom he married November 20, 1964.

Born in Johnstown, Cambria County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Laskowski) Vangeri. Mr. Vangeri was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown. He was employed as a draftsman by Kistler Building Company, New Smithville, for 20 years.

He is survived by Wife; Son, Steven J., husband of Kathleen (Trygar) Vangeri, Reading and Grandchildren, Nicholas Vangeri and Cassidy Vangeri.

Graveside services and inurnment will be held Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, with Dr. Katherine E. Brearley officiating. A luncheon with the family will follow in Fegley Hall, located on the lower level of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown. There are no calling hours.
