Joseph J. DeSimone, 86, formerly of Seisholtzville, died Monday, February 15, 2004 in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, Berks County. He was the husband of Anna (Morea) DeSimone, who died in 2000.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., he was a son of the late Dominico and Teresa (Lupo) DeSimone. He was U.S. Postal Service clerk/letter carrier from 1970 until retiring in 1980. Previously, he was a collecting agent for the New York City Transit Authority, 1950-70. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bally. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by Son, Joseph C. of Sinking Spring, Berks County; Daughter, Carol A. Bitting of Reading; Sisters, Olga Carlucci and Yolanda, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Brothers, Michael of Matawan, N.J., Art of Red Bank, N.J.; 2 Grandsons.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 11:00 AM from the Most Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally. Interment in the Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Bally. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Topton, PA.
