Joseph F. Hamsher

Joseph F. Hamsher, 97, of Topton, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the widower of Mildred L. (Reppert) Hamsher who died April 7, 2000.

Born in Maxatawny Township, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Elda (Fritch) Hamsher. He was a member, Elder and Deacon of Saint Peter’s United Church of Christ, Topton. Mr. Hamsher was a supervisor of the Tool & Die Department over 40 years until his retirement in 1979 from Caloric Corporation at its former Topton plant. Mr. Hamsher was a former member of the Topton Borough Council.

He is survived by Son, Ronald D. Hamsher, Columbia, Lancaster County. There are also 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, and a Sister, Anna (Hamsher) DeHaven, Reading. He was predeceased by a Son, Neil J. Hamsher who died July 4, 2001 and a Sister, Sarah (Hamsher) Kuhns.

Funeral Services are Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:30 PM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. Interment in Zionsville Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, December 30, 2011, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
