Jo Linda (Packard) Odegaard, 71, of Hamburg, formerly of Fleetwood, PA, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, in her residence, one day shy of her 72nd birthday. She was the loving wife of Rickey A. Odegaard, whom she married on July 8, 1998.
Born in Reading, Jo Linda was a daughter of the late Glenn O. Packard and the late Fern E. (Bohn) Creitz. She was a 1970 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and attended Reading - Muhlenberg Vo-Tech, where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1981. Jo Linda worked as a LPN at Reading Hospital for several years. She then worked for Berks County Intermediate Unit and Berks County Head Start Program as a Family Service Worker for many years.
In her free time, Jo Linda enjoyed watching her favorite shows on television and going to the casinos! She also loved to pamper herself and get her nails done. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed hosting and attending family picnics.
Along with her husband of 26 years, Rickey, Jo Linda is survived by her children, Marcie (DeLong), wife of Christopher L. Unger, Reading, Harry Roberts, Cressona, Matthew Roberts, St. Clair, Jason Odegaard, Kutztown, and Jamie Odegaard, Muhlenberg; six grandchildren, Kenneth Long, Kylee Roberts, Rebecca Roberts, Haley Roberts, Nathan Roberts, and Isaac Reyes; five great-grandchildren, Kyden Long, Willow Ditzler, Miles Ditzler, Adalina Gaddy and Elijah Vasquez. She is also survived by her siblings, Michael J., husband of Robin (Kaufman) Packard, Wellsville, Coleen L. (Packard), wife of Charles Slichter, Kutztown, Thomas P., husband of Cindy (Favinger) Creitz, Auburn and Michelle L. (Creitz) Bensinger, and her companion, Bob, Pottsville. Along with her parents, Jo Linda was predeceased by her dear four-legged companion, Zeke.
A graveside service to celebrate and honor Jo Linda's life and burial will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, (Rt.222), Fleetwood, PA, with The Reverend Martin A. Milne officiating. A procession will form at the cemetery office and depart to the graveside at 10:50 a.m.
