John M Azzaro

John M. Azzaro, age 49, of Timothy Drive, Mertztown PA, died Sunday, January 20, 2002 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown PA. He was the Husband of Sharon Lee M. (Bartakovits) Azzaro. The couple celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary last April.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the son of the late Victor R. and Eleanor C. (Hanzlak) Bowers. He was a Member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War on the USS Oriskany. He received his Associates Degree in Accounting in 1976 from the Allentown Business School, Allentown PA, and his Bachelors Degree in Accounting in 1986 from Moravian College, Bethlehem PA. He was a Member of the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club, Alburtis PA; and the Nimrod Fish and Wildlife Association, Alburtis PA.

He is survived by his Wife; sons, Kristopher M. Azzaro and Alexander J. Azzaro at home; brothers, Perry V. Azzaro of Slatington PA, Danny Bowers of Bath PA and Todd A. Bowers of Bensalem PA; and step-brother, Jim F. Azzaro of Dayton NV. He is predeceased in death by his sister, Carmen J. Azzaro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, January 24, 2002 in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown. Family and Friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 PM Wednesday evening in the Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 East Weiss Street, Topton PA. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescoesville PA.
