John K. Murray

John K. Murray, 86, of Kutztown, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Willow Brook Nursing  & Rehabilitation Center, Kutztown, where he was a patient three days.  Born in Pottstown, John was a son of the late James J. and Anna R. (Harvey) Murray.

John was employed as a Branch Manager for Bank of Pennsylvania, at its Reading Branch, for 15 years.  He continued his banking career in Maine and later returning to Pennsylvania to the Poconos.  John retired from his professional work as a member of AAA Travel Services working in their Florida offices.

John was a lover of nature.  He enjoyed flowers and studied birds of prey.  He enjoyed travelling to Maine and Canada.  In his younger years, John enjoyed hiking, golfing and skiing and spending time outdoors.

John is survived by three children: son, John Murray, Montgomery County; son, Keith Murray, Saint George, Utah; and daughter, Sally Jo (Murray) Mammula, Kirkland, Washington.  There are also five grandchildren: Danielle Murray, Travis Murray, Justin Murray, Melanie Mammula, and Matthew Mammula.  John is also survived by a brother, James Murray, Pottstown.  In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a son, Kevin Murray.

Services for John will be private at the convenience of the family.
