John H. Dmytrush, 83, of Bethlehem, formerly of Reading, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 in St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the widower of Dawn V. (Gilbert) Dmytrush, who died May 12, 2002.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harry and Anna (Wowk) Dmytrush. Mr. Dmytrush was a United States Army veteran, serving our country during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Wayne, Delaware Co., and Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed as an industrial engineer and plant manager for several companies such as Continental Can Co., Inc., Kiwi Shoe Polish, Stearns and Foster, and Binny and Smith, just to name a few. Mr. Dmytrush was an avid sports and music fan. He enjoyed traveling, with his late wife, to their daughter's sporting events. He also loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by Daughters, Lynn A. (Dmytrush), wife of Robert S. Greenawald, Easton, and Lori J. Dmytrush, Allentown; 2 Granddaughters, Keri L. Greenawald, Philadelphia, and Dana L. Greenawald, New York, NY .
Funeral Services will be private. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.
