John H Adams

John H. Adams age 73, of 467 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA, died April 2, 2000 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. he was the husband of Helen M. (Showalter) Adams. The couple celebrated their 35th Anniversary this past October 17th.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County, PA, he was the son of the late Solomon W. and Bertha M. (Herbein) Adams. He was employed as a parts runner for Mente Chevrolet-Oldsmobile Dealership, Kutztown from 1993 until retiring August 1, 1999. Prior to that he was employed as a Sole Layer by Adidas, at its former Kutztown plant working 1980 to 1990. He first worked at the former Wenton Shoe Company, Kutztown from 1963 to 1980. He served in the United State Navy during World War II.

He is survivor by his Wife; two 2 Step-Daughters, Barbara A. (Arnold) Heckman, Kutztown, PA and Fietta J. (Arnold) widow of Willard Schaeffer, Topton, PA; a Step-Son, Dennis G. Arnold, Kutztown, PA; two Brothers, Paul H. Adams, Pottstown, PA and Harold L. Adams, Kutztown, PA; 9 Step-Grandchildren, Thirteen 13 Step-Great Grandchildren and 1 Step-Great-Great Grandson.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown, PA. The family requests contributions be made to Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, 501 Saint John Street, Allentown 18103. There will be no Calling Hours.
