John F Strzelecki

John F. Strzelecki, 67, of Mertztown, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Conrath) Richards - Strzelecki. They were married April 21, 2011.

Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, he was a son of Matilda “Tillie” M. (Savitsky) Strzelecki, Doylestown, and the late Zigmund F. Strzelecki. He was a graduate of LaSalle High School and LaSalle University, Philadelphia. John was a U.S. Marine veteran serving in Vietnam. He was employed as an accountant by Pidilite USA, Inc., Hazleton, last working in September. He was a member of Knight of Columbus 1479, Shenandoah, Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton. John enjoyed playing the organ and his accordion.

He is survived by Wife, Mother, Step daughters, Melissa F. (Wood) wife of Matthew W. Egbert, Slatington, Michele F. A. Richards, Topton, Melody A. (Richards) wife of Chris McCulley, Reading; Step Son, Michael A. E. Richards, Jr., Allentown; Sisters, Diane E. (Strzelecki) wife of Dr. Michael J. Gratch, Holicong, PA, Donna M. (Strzelecki) wife of Robert McEneany, Woodbury, CT.; Brothers, Dr. Zigmund F., Jr., husband of Gretchen (Dollenberg) Strzelecki, Quakertown, Francis J. husband of Lynne (Loebel) Strzelecki, Greenlane. He is also survived by 16 Step Grandchildren, and 15 Nieces and Nephews. John was predeceased by a Step Granddaughter, Isabella Rose Richards, Step Great Granddaughter, Zoey Jade Costa, and Nephew, Kyle Z. McEneany.

Funeral Services are Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, 19530. Interment in Topton Union Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
