John Dale Williams

John Dale Williams, 54, of Maidencreek Township, Berks County, died after a long illness on Monday, January 10, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where he was a patient since January 2, 2011. He was the husband of Debra A. (Lopez) Williams. They were married May 20, 1978.

Born in Scranton, he was a son of John R. Williams, Catasauqua, and the late Arlene (Barber) Williams. He was a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown. John proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1975 to 1978. As a result of his service to his country, John became a disabled veteran. He was a 1974 graduate of Catasauqua High School and received an associate degree in Microelectronics from Lincoln Technical Institute in 1987. Mr. Williams worked as a programmer in microelectronics at Agere, Allentown from 1987 until his disability required his retirement in 2001. John was a loving husband, father and friend. He enjoyed Disney World and anything Lego. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association.

He is survived by Wife, Daughter, Alison R. Williams, at home. Other survivors include a Brother, James husband of Donna Williams, Catasauqua, 6 nieces and nephews and his dogs Fiona, Cocoa and Holly.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, 19530. Interment with Military Honors provided by Howard M. Peter Post 576 American Legion Honor Guard, Allentown in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Friends may call Friday, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church.
