Mr. John A. Zawada

John A. Zawada, 77, of Branchdale, Schuylkill County, died Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg. Born in Philadelphia, John was a son of the Joseph P. and Theresa (Josiatis) Zawada. John honorably and faithfully served our country as a veteran of the United States Navy.

John first worked as a machinist for the Boeing Company, Philadelphia, in the Helicopter Division; then obtained his captains license and relocated to South Florida where he operated a commercial fishing boat. John then returned to the area and worked for Zawada Enterprises in the construction trades until his retirement.

John is survived by two sons: Wayne Zawada, Delaware; Jacob Zawada, Pottsville; and a daughter, Tessa Ann (Zawada) Remaley, Pottsville. There are four grandsons: Zach Zawada, Steven Zawada; Bennett G. Remaley and Colsoen D. T. Remaley. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Joseph P. Zawada and his sister Judy (Zawada) Verdun.

Services for John will be private at the convenience of the family.
