Joanna L Zettle

Joanne L. Zettle, age 65, of 275 Fair Street, Kutztown PA, died Monday, January 29, 2001 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. PA. She was the Wife of Herman Zettle, Jr. The couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this past October 2nd.

Born in Maxatawny Township, Berks County PA, she was the Daughter of the late Warren J. and Clardine (Knappenberger) Kern. She was a sewing machine operator at the former Marlene Blouse Corporation, later known as Katos Sportswear, Kutztown from 1953 until 1970. She later worked at Kelchner's Cleaners, Kutztown, as a utility worker.

She is survived by her Husband; Son, Steven M. Zettle of Fleetwood PA; Sisters, Audrey M. (Kern) Seltmann of Bally PA, Doris J. (Kern) Leiby of Kitty Hawk NC and Betty N. (Kern) Bartholomew of Nazareth PA; Brothers, John D. Kern of Mertztown PA, Dennis E. Kern of Kutztown PA, Billy W. Kern of Lenhartsville PA and Donald R. Kern of Topton PA.

Services are Private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Maxatawny PA. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown PA.
