Jessie L Strohmetz

Jessie L. Strometz, 98, of Lenhartsville, formerly of Stone Harbor, NJ, died Monday, March 28, 2011 in The Lutheran Home at Topton, Topton, PA where she was a resident since 2005. She was the wife of Harry E. Strohmetz who died April 27, 1987.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Sarah J. (Osman) Morrison. She was a former member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Stone Harbor. She was a charter member of the Stone Harbor Senior Citizens Group, Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Stone Harbor Women’s Civic Club. She was a volunteer for seven years at Philadelphia Naval Hospital, and ten years at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by Daughter, Virginia G. (Strohmetz) widow of Karl H. Nolte, Lenhartsville, PA and a Son, Harry R. husband of Sarah (Wray) Strohmetz, Drexel Hill, PA. Other survivors include 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside Services are Thursday, March 31, 2011, at 11:00 AM in Cold Springs Cemetery, 780 Seashore Road, Cape May, NJ. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
