Jeffrey M Unger

Jeffrey M. Unger, 61, of Kutztown, died suddenly Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Pamela G. (Fenstermacher) Unger. They were married April 23, 1977.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Paul J. Unger of Kutztown, and the late Mildred A. (Wessner) Unger. He was a member of Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, Bowers. Jeff served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He was a 1970 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and attended the former Hiram Scott College, Nebraska, and Kutztown University. Jeff was the owner and operator of Ungers Studio, Kutztown, from 1976 until the present. He was also a freelance carpenter for over 20 years. Jeff was a member of the Kutztown Lion's Club and the president of a local Breakfast Club. He was an avid golfer.

He is survived by Wife; Father; Daughter, Stephanie A. Unger, companion of Carlos Vasquez, Jr., Kutztown; Son, Jeremy T., husband of Caitlin B. (Hadley) Unger, West Roxbury, MA; Brother, Paul R., husband of Donna K. (George) Unger, Lenhartsville; 2 Grandchildren, Sophia J. and Madeline A. Unger; and 2 Step Grandchildren, Matthew R. and Makayla C. Vasquez; and his beloved dog, Ziva. He was predeceased by a Half Brother, Larry R. Fink in 2006.

Funeral Services are Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 12:00 noon in Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood. Relatives and friends may call Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and Saturday morning from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon in the church.
