Jean L Oswald

Jean L. Oswald, 81, formerly of Rockland Township, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the widow of George W. Oswald who died January 6, 2003.

Born in Rockland Township she was a daughter of the late George A. and Sadie Mae (Breidegam) Schwoyer. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers. She was a sewing machine operator and folder at the former Royal Manufacturing Company, Alburtis.

She is survived by Daughter, Michele M. (Oswald) wife of Samuel B. Readinger, Fleetwood; Son, Michael A. husband of Connie J. (Stanley) Oswald, Kutztown. There are 2 Sisters, Anna Louise (Schwoyer) Angstadt, Mertztown and Doris M. (Schwoyer) Miller, Topton. In addition, there are 3 Grandchildren, Michael J. Oswald, Wilson O. Readinger and Angela O. (Readinger) Steffy.

Funeral Services are Friday, May 28, 2010, 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Friends may call Friday, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM. The family requests contributions be made to the memorial fund of Hope Lutheran Church, 550 Fleetwood Road, Bowers, PA 19511. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
