Janice Rae Muth

Janice Rae (Wiltrout) Muth, 80, of Emmaus, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Clifford E. Muth, who died on July 11, 1998.

Born in Kutztown, Janice was the daughter of Arlene (Biehl) Wiltrout, of Kutztown, and the late Ralph Wiltrout. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown, and attended Kutztown Area High School. Janice worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Kutztown Wallet Factory; as a stamper at the former Saucony Shoe Co., Macungie; and most recently, in the bindery department at Day-Timer, East Texas, for 16 years, until her retirement. Following her retirement, Janice worked as a busser at The Brass Rail Restaurant, Allentown, for four years. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to cook; especially her delicious pot pie and baked beans. She also loved her dogs.

In addition to her Mother, Arlene, Janice is survived by her three Children, Dean E., husband of Susan M. (Boyle) Muth, Macungie, Ty B., husband of Diane A. (Lahn) Muth, Allentown and Glynis R., wife of James K. Stansfield, Emmaus; 2 Brothers, Glenroy, husband of Gayle Wiltout, Bowers, and Daryl Wiltrout, Kutztown. She is also survived by her 4 Grandchildren, Shannon (Muth), wife of Brian Kacsur, Brendan Muth, Rory Muth, and his girlfriend, Deidre Geroni, and Nicholas, husband of Nicole Muth; her 5 beautiful Great-Grandchildren that she adored; and her four-legged companion, Mya.

Funeral services for Janice will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, with her Pastor, Reverend Mary Ann Hamm, officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.

The family requests that contributions be made in Janice’s memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main St., Kutztown, PA  19530. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
