Janet E Bruen

Janet E. Bruen age 59, of 13 David’s Drive, (Rockland Township) Fleetwood, PA, died Sunday, April 2, 2000 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA. She was the wife of The Rev. Harry E. Bruen, Jr. The couple celebrated their 32nd Anniversary this past September 9th.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late John E., Sr. and Marion H. (Heffner) Dietrich. She received her diploma in Registered Nursing from Harrisburg Polyclinic in 1962. She was a registered nurse in the pediatrics department of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center from 1962 to 1967, after that she worked in the pediatrics department at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Bangor, Maine. She was a member of Longswamp U.C.C. Church, Mertztown, where she also served with the Church Women’s Group. She was also a member of Saint John’s U.C.C. Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA

She is survived by her Husband; a Daughter, Jennifer D. Bruen, of Ardmore, PA; A Son, Derek W. Bruen, at home; two Brothers, John E. Dietrich, Jr., Pricetown, PA and Richard E. Dietrich, Shillington, PA; two Sisters, Fern E., wife of John L. Roeder, Sr., Schuylkill Haven, PA and Nancy E., wife of Joseph Kline, Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, April 9, 2000 at 5:00 PM from Longswamp U.C.C. Church, 200 Clay Road, Mertztown PA. Interment in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, PA. Friends may call Sunday 4:00 PM until time of service at the Church. Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the church, Longswamp U.C.C.
