Jane E Christman

Jane E. (Sterner) Christman, 55, of Greenwich Township, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Carl W. Christman. They were married March 9, 1974.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of Virginia M. (Zimmerman) Sterner Henry, Kutztown and the late William F. Sterner. She was Lutheran. She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School Class of 1973. She worked as a custodian at Kutztown University for 22 years, last working in 2007.

She is survived by Husband, Mother, Stepfather, Russell W. “Knut” Henry, Kutztown; Daughter, Michele L. (Christman) fiancée of Chad “Telly” F. Oldt and widow of Richard C. Kistler, Kutztown; Son, Matthew C. husband of Patricia A. (Smith) Christman, Kutztown. There are 3 Sisters, Jill H. (Sterner) Shumaker, California, MD, Julia R. (Sterner) wife of Gallo J. Priori, Emmaus, Jennifer V. (Sterner) wife of Joseph R. Juntunen, Fleetwood, Priscilla A. Sterner, wife of James N. Farber, Kutztown and a Brother, Jesse P. husband of Karla R. (Krause) Sterner, New London, Wis. In addition, there are Grandchildren, Remington M. Kistler and Felicia J. Oldt, and Step Grandchildren, Daniel R. Fegely, Abbey M. Fegely and Lucas W. Fegely.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM from Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Interment in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
