He also enjoyed singing and was a member of several community choirs in the area. Above all, he was an avid supporter of his sons' events while they were growing up and was a very proud grandfather.
Along with Gale, his wife of 36 years, Jim is survived by his two sons, Andrew J. "AJ", husband of Jillian L. (Leah) Pyle, Williamsburg, VA, and Joseph R. Pyle, Marlborough, MA; two grandchildren, Audrey L. and Hazel J. Pyle. He is also survived by his brother, Robert L., husband of Cynthia (Bower) Pyle; and sisters, Darel E. (Pyle), wife of Robert Atkinson, and Danielle E. (Pyle), wife of Andrew Kohl, all of Lenhartsville; one nephew, five nieces, one great-nephew and two great-nieces.
Services for Jim will be held privately by his family. The family requests contributions be made in Jim's memory to Salem EC Church, 2150 Old Route 22, Lenhartsville, PA 19534.
