James R. Aulenbach, 66, of Richmond Township, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, where he was admitted earlier in the day. He was the companion of Judith A. (Edinger) Fick.
Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Evelyn M. (Manbeck) Aulenbach. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was employed as a truck driver for 35 years for East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyon Station, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Horace M. Kieffer, Post 625 American Legion, Fleetwood; Kutztown Rod & Gun Club; Fleetwood Grange; Pike Township Sportsmen’s Assoc.; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 839, Kutztown; Kutztown and Lyons Fire Companies, and the Hamburg Fish and Game Assoc. He was a member of St. Paul’s UCC Church, Fleetwood, PA.
He is survived by Companion, Sister, Jean A. (Aulenbach) wife of Larry T. Hugo, Kutztown and 2 Brothers, Harold E., husband of Diane M. (Helbert) Aulenbach, Mertztown and Richard C., husband of Ardath F. (Emerich) Aulenbach, Kutztown.
Funeral Services are Monday evening, December 20, 2010 at 8:00 PM from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday evening, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, Kutztown.
The family requests that contributions be made to St. Paul’s UCC Memorial Fund, 5 West Arch St., Fleetwood, PA 19522. Arrangements are by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, PA.
