James Joseph "Jim" Paris, 77, of Kutztown, PA, passed away on August 8, 2025, in the Inpatient Hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, after a 13 year battle with Interstitial Lung Disease. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 39 yrs, his sister Janet Paris of Stamford Ct., son Patrick Paris of Atlanta, GA., niece Valerie Stout and nephew Dylan Fitzsimmons, both of Mount Kisco, NY and stepson, Joseph R. Glazier of Cape May Courthouse, NJ.

Born on Nov 29, 1947, in Port Chester, NY, Jim was a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Kelly) Paris. At the beginning of middle school he and his family moved to Pawling, NY, where he lived until he left for college at Murray State University in Kentucky. After college he began his banking career in Louisville, KY, but eventually moved back to NY. Shortly after that, however, he accepted a banking job in Conshohocken, PA, then Red Hill Savings in Red Hill, PA, and finally Lincoln Trust in the Fort Washington area. He spent the last several years of his working life as a residential real estate appraiser working out of his home office. He retired in August 2011.

Jim said in his early adult years that he only worked to give himself money for doing fun things. He lived his life doing just that! Those fun things included playing golf (at the age of 13 into his college years), fly fishing since he was 16 yrs old till his death, flying gliders competitively for 35 + years, traveling with his wife, snowmobiling for a few years, learning to ride a motorcycle, doing wildlife photography, and learning how to play a guitar. He married Sharon, the love of his life, on Oct 12, 1985. They enjoyed a life together of love, travel, adventures and fun!!

He will be forever remembered by all who knew him.
